Montefrio
Is a typical village with the spanish friendly atmosphere. Here lives some 6.000 people.
Montefrio means ”cold mountain”, it´s altitude over the sea is 984 meters.
You reach Montefrio within 10-15 minutes (8 km) by car from La Fe.
Montefrio is classified by National Geographics as one of 10 villages in the world with nicest views.
The village is also famous for it´s two landmarks; the chapel on the high cliff and the round church at the town square. Here you also find a lot of restaurants and bars, shops, postoffice, banks, cash machines, pharmacies and a small hospital. If you play tennis there is a court in Montefrio, as well as a large swimming pool area.
